2018 SAOT Video Competition

 

What is the "2018 SAOT Video Competition"

A digital video competition for every master or PhD Student around the world working in the field of optical technology.

Make a video of two to three minutes that shows what you are working on at your master or doctoral project.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Format

  • Digital Video of two to three minutes
  • Quick Time (.mov)
    MPEG (.mpg or .mp4)
    Flash (.flv or .swf)
  • title page including title of film, name of student(s), Master or PhD project and affiliation with institution
  • please include science sources and any photo/film/approval for sources in the credits after the video

Dates
March, 30, 2018 deadline for submission
June, 13 12:00 am to June,23 12:00 am (MESZ, German time) voting period

The public voting will decide which videos will be under the first three. A jury consisting of the SAOT Board of directors will decide the ranking among the three first chosen videos.

Prizes
1st rank:  700,00 €
2nd rank: 500,00 €
3rd rank:   300,00 €

How to enter

Submit the entry form and the video until March, 30, 2018
Entries should be submitted by uploading online. You can choose to do so via Drop-Box or some equivalent. Another option ist to write us an email and we will provide a link where you can upload the video. For the last option the video cannot be bigger than 2GB.

How to vote for the Video Award:

The submitted videos will be online on June, 13th at 12:00 am on the SAOT website. You can vote for your favourite videos until June, 23rd at 12:00 am  (German time).
